In yet another chapter of the growing rivalry between the UFC heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg), Tom aspinall did not spare words to attack Jon Jones. In response to a provocation of the current champion, the Briton accused 'Bones' of using banned substances to win his titles.

"Jon Jones “That’s right. He won a lot more world title fights than I did… While on steroids!” Aspinall wrote in a post on social media, insinuating that the American only achieved success in the sport thanks to the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

The declaration of Tom aspinall rekindled the discussion about the past of Jon Jones, who has already been caught using banned substances throughout his UFC career. The American, in turn, has repeatedly denied having used any type of doping. In 2016, however, the fighter had his light heavyweight title (up to 93kg) stripped after being caught in a test with clomiphene e letrozole, which have the function of blocking estrogen.

The exchange of barbs between the two fighters comes at a time of great anticipation for the future of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). Jones is scheduled to defend his belt against Stipe Miocic in November, but the possibility of a fight against Tom aspinall in the future is not ruled out.
