Khalil rountree reaffirmed its strategy for the fight against Alex Poatán No. UFC 307. In an interview with the 'Believe You Me' podcast, the American made it clear that he does not intend to change his fighting style, even when faced with the challenge of facing the champion. They face each other on October 5th.

“My grappling is good, my wrestling is decent, but that’s not who I am. I’m not going to put myself at risk to try to win something that doesn’t fit my style,” Khalil said.

The athlete, who occupies the eighth position in the category ranking, recognizes the difficulty of the fight, but believes that his aggressive strategy based on exchanges can surprise Poatan.

“In 11 years in the UFC, I’ve never attempted a takedown. Why start now? I’m going to do what I’ve always done,” he added.
