In the final stretch of preparation to face Ketlen Scallop in his second fight in the Ultimate, in UFC 307, on October 5th, Kayla harrison continues with another Brazilian in mind for the future: Amanda nunes.
In a recent interview with the 'Grind City Media' portal, the two-time Olympic champion and former PFL champion once again explained why she did not challenge the 'Lioness' after her victory over Holly holm premiering in UFC 300, in April, and explained the origin of the small 'feud' with her former training partner.

“I didn’t challenge Amanda nunes because she’s retired, you know? I didn’t want to be that girl who’s challenging old, retired people, people who are fat and happy sitting on the couch. I’m happy for her, and I imagine she finds it hard not to be competing, too. When I had my moment, maybe she needed to step up, and that’s fine. I don’t have a problem with Amanda. The only problem I have with Amanda is that she talks shit about the best team in the world (American Top Team). Personally, I think she’s great, but don’t talk shit about my team,” explained the American.
Despite guaranteeing that he has nothing against Amanda nunes personally, Kayla harrison He reiterated that a fight against the 'Lioness' is part of his plans for the future.
“I would love for her to come back. It’s literally a dream scenario for me and my career. When she retired I was like, ‘What are you doing? Don’t do that yet, wait.’ I’m glad she did the video, but now she’s going to have to hear it from me. I have a few steps to go and then she’ll hear it from me,” Kayla assured.
