Victim of criticism from Dana White after revealing a facial cut just days before the fight for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg), Merab Dvalishvili did not hesitate to respond to the UFC president. Despite the president's disapproval, the Georgian said he did not regret the publication and assured that everything was fine with his preparation. The athlete faces Sean O'Malley on September 14th.

“I never regret anything I did, you know? I post this because I post everything on my social media. It was no big deal because I was more than three weeks post-cut. This cut (had) no effect on my training, my sparring. As you can see, I recovered and everything is fine,” Merab told MMA Junkie.

“Yeah, when I saw that Dana was upset, of course, I don’t want to upset Dana White and the UFC. But I was very calm and relaxed because it was no big deal. I don’t regret anything. This is who I am. This is what I do. This is my life. I’m a fighter,” he concluded.
