Alex Poatán has a strong reinforcement for another battle in the octagon. On October 5th, in Salt Lake City (USA), the Brazilian will face Khalil rountree. For this important fight, the athlete has been counting on the experience and knowledge of one of the biggest names in Brazilian MMA: Antônio Minotauro. The fight is valid for the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg) in UFC 307.

The partnership between the two fighters is nothing new. Minotauro had already closely followed Poatan's evolution in kickboxing, even before the athlete made the transition to MMA. In an interview with SUPER LUTAS, the former interim heavyweight champion revealed his admiration for the young talent.

With a record of 11 wins and only two losses in the UFC, Poatan has established himself as one of the most popular athletes in the organization and occupies the second position in the pound-for-pound ranking, behind only Islam makhachev.

His success in MMA is the result of a distinguished career in kickboxing, where he won several titles and knocked out tough opponents, such as Sean Strickland, Jan Blachowicz, Jamahal hill e Jiri Prochazka.
