Few fighters have a story as full of twists and turns as Jorge masvidal. After becoming famous on YouTube in videos of bare-knuckle boxing matches on the streets of Miami, 'Gamebred' became one of the biggest stars of the UFC in 2019, thanks to his ability to score the fastest knockout in the organization, against Ben Askren. Now retired since 2023, the athlete announced that he may have one more chapter to write in his career.
In an interview with the North American website 'MMA Fighting', Masvidal said he was in negotiations to return to the sport's biggest organization.

“I’ve been talking to my boy Hunter (Campbell). He said, ‘Let me check this date, see if this guy wants to get his ass kicked.’ We’ll set the date first. Secure that date and then we’ll find the opponent,” he said.
Coming from a controversial boxing defeat to the rival, Nate diaz, the first BMF champion in history speculated the chance to participate in a card later this year, including 'stealing' his opponent from Conor McGregor.
“It could be in Las Vegas, December 7th. I'll knock it down Michael chandler dead on the ground. It could be next year, Super Bowl. I don't know yet. I'm going to review all my options. See how the money is. I love fighting, but most people don't need to know that, because they can try to lower the price for me", said the 'Jesus of the streets', also guaranteeing that he is training six times a week at 'American Top Team' for his return.

Nearing his 40th birthday and with over 50 professional fights, Masvidal made his debut in the sport in the early 2000s. In addition to the Ultimate, the athlete competed in other major events, such as Strikeforce and Bellator. His last appearance in MMA was at UFC 287, after being defeated by Gilbert 'Durinho', adding four consecutive defeats.
