After retiring from MMA last year with a loss to Gilbert 'Durinho', Jorge masvidal recently announced the intention to return to sport later this year, even suggesting a confrontation against Michael chandler. The statement by the 'Jesus of the Streets' ended up generating reactions, but perhaps not the ones he expected.

After checking out Masvidal's lines, Daniel Cormier, Ultimate Hall of Famer and commentator, expressed his thoughts regarding a possible return of 'Gamebred' in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Do you care about him like you did in 2019? When he was on that incredible journey and transformed from a guy who was a little bit of a seasoned guy to a main event attraction… He’s 39 now. His best days seem to be behind him, he’s lost four in a row,” DC said.
The journey Cormier was referring to was the fighter's 2019 winning streak over Darrent Till, Ben Askren and Nate diaz, including the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history against 'Funky' and the creation of the 'BMF' title.
