O UFC 306, named 'Night UFC' takes place this Saturday (14) and is one of the most anticipated Ultimate events of the year not only for the two belt disputes and the card full of great fights, but also for marking the first sporting event in the history of the 'Sphere', a luxurious and modern arena in Las Vegas, United States.
Over the past few months, Dana White has promised the biggest event in the organization's history, at least in terms of spectacle, and has claimed to have spent around $20 million (approximately R$112 million). With just a few days left until the big night, the UFC president is somewhat uncertain that everything will go according to plan.

“We don’t know. We won’t know until Saturday night. You know, I don’t do outdoor events because of the wind, the bugs, the rain and all the other things that can happen. The Sphere is still a controlled environment where on September 14th, sports and entertainment will truly come together at the same time. Is it going to work? Is it going to be great? Is it going to be amazing? Is it going to suck? We don’t know. We won’t know until it’s over, but we’re going to try,” the president said in an interview with Grind City Media.
To achieve a greater chance of success, Dana White guarantees that the entire show planned for next Saturday night will be rehearsed several times. As a small spoiler, the president revealed that a kind of film will be broadcast between the event's fights.
“We’re going to rehearse the hell out of this. I’ll know every detail. What I don’t know is if it’s going to work. It’s going to be fascinating to promote a sporting event here where we’re basically making movies. There will be a movie and between the chapters of the movie there will be fights. You’ll see our line of reasoning and how we think about how it works. But it’s at the end of the night that we’ll know if it worked or not,” he concluded.
