To get into the mood UFC 306, the team of SUPER FIGHTS listed five reasons to attend the event. Check out;
1) UFC 306 Sphere
The UFC world is about to experience a historic night. This Saturday (14), the UFC 306 will make its debut at the imposing Las Vegas Sphere, which promises an audiovisual experience never seen before.
The organization, led by Dana White, invested more than US$20 million (around R$111 million, at the current exchange rate) to transform the arena into a 'fighting temple', with cutting-edge technology and an innovative design that promises to delight fans from all over the world.
The Sphere, with its 54 square meters of outdoor screen and a 15 square meter indoor screen, will offer spectators a complete immersion into the UFC universe. The sound system, composed of 160 speakers, will guarantee a vibrant and realistic sound experience, while the vibrant seats promise to intensify the excitement of the fights.
The evening will be marked by a tribute to Mexico's Independence Day, with the event titled 'Night UFC'. To celebrate Mexico's rich tradition in combat sports, the UFC will screen mini-films produced by renowned professionals, with experience in award shows such as Emmys, Golden Globes and Grammys.
2) The Sean O'Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili 'jacket rivalry'

The rivalry between Sean O'Malley e Merab Dvalishvili is about to reach its peak. The current UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) puts his belt on the line against the Georgian challenger. And, to further increase the anticipation for the fight, the American made sure to take an object to the octagon that symbolizes the atmosphere between the two fighters: the famous red jacket.
The garment, which became one of the protagonists of the rivalry, was the center of attention in May 2022, when O'Malley stepped into the octagon to face aljamain sterling. When taking off his jacket, the American, without realizing it, left it in the hands of Dvalishvili, who 'stole' it in a provocative gesture. The Georgian's attitude irritated the American, starting an exchange of provocations that intensified in the following months.
Now, with the belt on the line, O'Malley has decided to take his jacket to the face-off with Dvalishvili. The champion's attitude indicates that the personal rivalry between the two fighters goes beyond the confines of the octagon and that the fight between the two UFC 306 will be marked by a high level of intensity.
3) First trilogy in the history of women's MMA

The rivalry that set the octagon on fire in 2023 gains a new chapter. Alexa grasso e Valentina Shevchenko, the two biggest forces in women's flyweight (up to 56,7 kg), face each other for the third time, in the first trilogy of women's MMA.
The Mexican, the division champion, and the Kyrgyzstani, a former champion and UFC legend, starred in two memorable battles last year, with a draw and a victory for Grasso. Now, the athletes led the 32nd season of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter' and are preparing to close the trilogy.
4) Diego Lopes in the toughest fight of his career

O UFC 306 will also have a special flavor for Brazilian fans. Three athletes from the country will be in action on Saturday night, but the spotlight will be on Diego lopes. The featherweight, who is looking to consolidate his position in the category ranking, will face a very high-level challenge: Brian ortega, former title challenger.
Diego comes into the fight riding a winning streak in the octagon. With a record of 25 wins and six losses, the Brazilian has shown constant improvement and has established himself as one of the most promising names in the division.
Ortega, one of the veterans of the category, is looking to get back to winning ways after a period of ups and downs. The American, who has already challenged Alexander Volkanovsky by the title, has a high level grappling game and knockout power that makes him dangerous for any opponent.
5) Norma Dumont faces former title challenger

On a meteoric rise in the UFC bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), Norm Dumont will face the biggest challenge of his career. After the resounding victory over Germain de Randamie, the Minas Gerais native has consolidated herself in the top 10 of the category and is now aiming for the top. Her next fight will be against the experienced Mexican Irene aldana.
With four consecutive victories in the organization, Dumont seeks to maintain the rhythm and get even closer to the title fight. A victory over Aldana, who has already fought for the 'crown' of the category, would be a giant step towards this goal.
On the other side of the octagon, Irene comes into the fight on the back of a series of victories over Brazilians. The Mexican has already beaten names like Ketlen Scallop, Bethe Correia e Karol Rosa, with a favorable record regarding the country's female fighters. However, her only defeat in the UFC was precisely against Amanda nunes, in title dispute.
