The two stumbles in fights against Alexa grasso are already a thing of the past for Valentina Shevchenko. With strategic style, the Kyrgyz woman regained the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) in a unanimous decision by the judges in UFC 306, an event held this Saturday (14), in honor of Mexico's Independence Day. The duel marked the first trilogy in the history of women's MMA.

With this result, in addition to returning to the top of the world, Valentina evens the score. Now, in the retrospect of the rivalry, there is one win for each and one draw. In her career, there are 24 positive results and four negative ones.

Alexa grasso, in turn, loses for the first time to its rival and has a record of 16 triumphs, five defeats and one draw.

If it worked, the former champion will do it again. Shevchenko, in the center of the octagon, managed to take her down and applied pressure. Alexa tried, once again, to attack her arm, but the Kyrgyz defended herself. The champion tried to grab her again, with an inverted triangle, but was frustrated once again.

The fight, in the third round, was a frank exchange between the two fighters. Valentina applied a high kick that injured Alexa. Then, the former champion achieved another takedown to count another round.

The fourth assault was marked by a scare for Valentina Shevchenko, who was even 'breathing through a straw'. The Kyrgyz imposed a takedown, but fell into the Mexican's tight guillotine. She, however, kept calm and got out of the position to stay on top and land strong blows.

Alexa grasso tried hard, but didn't reverse the result. The Mexican tried to take her down, but didn't progress in the position and saw Valentina Shevchenko master the actions.
