The night of fights of the UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas not only crowned new champions, but also redefined the limits of revenue generated by an MMA event. The organization's debut at the spherical arena exceeded all expectations and set a new historic milestone for the company. The card was held last Saturday (14).
O UFC 306, which had as its main fight the bantamweight title fight (up to 61,2 kg.) between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley, grossed an impressive $22 million (about R$122 million at today's exchange rate), surpassing the previous record by more than $4 million, set by UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden, which had Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez as highlights. The impressive brand is the result of a combination of several factors, such as the newness of the arena, the attractive card and the passion of the fans.

Dana White, president of the organization, celebrated the result, but ruled out the possibility of returning to the Sphere in the near future. Despite recognizing the success of the event, the director explained that the company already has a contract with MGM, which manages the arena.
“No, I will not be returning to another UFC event at the Sphere. I am under contract with MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer),” Dana said in a post-event press conference.
The presence of more than 16 thousand spectators at the event, named 'Night UFC', contributed significantly to the financial success. In addition to the main fight, other clashes caught the public's attention, such as the victory of Valentina Shevchenko about Alexa grasso, which earned him the fly belt, and the triumph of the Brazilian Diego lopes about Brian ortega.
