After dominated by Valentina Shevchenko and lose the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) by unanimous decision, Alexa grasso spoke out for the first time. In a post on social media, the fighter thanked her fans and promised to get back on her feet in her next performance.

“I want to thank you all for your support. It wasn’t the night I wanted. I’ll get back to training and I promise the next fight will be much better. I love you all,” said the former champion.
The match was the third fight between the rivals. In the first clash, Grasso shocked the world by winning by submission in the fourth round. In the rematch, the duel ended in a split draw. The final part of the trilogy was well promoted by the UFC, which appointed the athletes as coaches for the 32nd edition of The Ultimate Fighter.
Alexa grasso
At 31 years of age, Alexa grasso has a record of 16 wins, four losses and one draw. The Mexican debuted in the organization in 2016, still as a strawweight (52,1 kg). Four years later, the fighter moved up a category, winning the belt in March 2023. This was her first setback in the division.
