Even though he has been absent from the octagon for almost two years, since his victory against Cyril Win, Jon Jones continues to draw attention from the MMA world. After declaring that his fight against Stipe Miocic, at UFC 309, will be yours last fight, several sports personalities expressed their opinions, such as the former fighter Chael Sonnen.

Commenting on the situation in a video on his YouTube channel, the American questioned the veracity of the statement made by Jones, his opponent in one of 'Bones''s title fights in 2013.
“He didn’t really mean it. It was completely false. It wasn’t even his idea. Someone else said it (about retirement), he heard it and thought it would be good to follow up,” Sonnen said.
In addition to expressing his doubt, the former fighter also speculated on the reasons why his retirement Jon Jones it would be a bluff.
“There are a few different reasons why guys who aren’t going to retire say they are. Maybe he heard someone else say it and thought it would be good marketing.
