Commenting on the situation in a video on his YouTube channel, the American questioned the veracity of the statement made by Jones, his opponent in one of 'Bones''s title fights in 2013.

“He didn’t really mean it. It was completely false. It wasn’t even his idea. Someone else said it (about retirement), he heard it and thought it would be good to follow up,” Sonnen said.
