American Sean O'Malley lost his bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) at UFC 306, held last Saturday (14), after being defeated by Merab Dvalishvili in the main fight of the show. Despite the setback, the fighter, who is also a content producer, managed to think of an unusual way to say goodbye to the belt (see the video below).

With a song “Heat Waves X See You Again” ('Heat Waves x See You Soon', in free translation) in the background, O'Malley walks with the belt on his shoulder and passes a pink Ferrari, the same color as his hair and robe. He enters an octagon set up in his garage and places the title symbol inside a suitcase. Before closing it, he still kisses the belt and says 'bye, bye'. The moment the suitcase is closed, the background track speeds up. (see video below).

Sean O'Malley out of the Octagon for up to a year

Sean O'Malley's farewell to the belt is expected to be a long one. The fighter revealed that he will probably be away from the octagon for between nine and 12 months. Initially, he said that he would be away for that period to take care of his career as a businessman and content producer. However, as the statement did not go down well, he backtracked and said that he will undergo hip surgery.
