The phase is not going well for Alex Cowboy. The former UFC fighter, who has suffered a series of eight defeats in his last 11 MMA fights, suffered yet another setback in another sport. The Brazilian made his debut in 'bare-knuckle boxing' and ended up brutally knocked out (watch the video of the knockout below). He was knocked out by Igor Ionov at the REN TV Fight Club, held in Russia.
Cowboy's knockout happened in the first round. The Brazilian threw a right hand, but received an uppercut on the counterattack and was swayed. In 'automatic mode', Alex even tried to take him down and both ended up on the ground. Cowboy tried to recover but it took a few seconds to get back to his feet.
As soon as the fighting resumed, Alex Cowboy went for it, but Igor Ionov connected with a left cross and the ex-UFC fighter went to the ground in a brutal manner.
