The loss of the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg.) is still causing problems for Sean O' Malley. Days after the UFC 306, Henry Cejudo made harsh statements about 'Suga', who was defeated by unanimous decision. The Olympic champion even stated that his rival's victory over aljamain sterling, which yielded the title, would have been a coincidence.

“Sean’s not used to fighting five rounds and he’s not used to people on his legs. I just felt like – I still go back and say, that fight with aljamain sterling, it was luck. Aljamain was still in that fight and people thought I was just being a hater,” the fighter said on the American podcast 'Pound 4 Pound', which he presents with Kamaru Usman.

Furthermore, Cejudo, who was 'trolled' by O'Malley shortly before last Saturday's event, said he was interested in facing the now former champion.

“I would love to fight him. We both live in the same town, but I just don’t think he’ll want to fight me. Especially after what Merab did to him. So if Sean O'Malley "If you are willing and want to fight the real king of Arizona, here I am. But if not, I will go back to 125 pounds, because I will not waste my time", said 'Triple C', who was champion as flyweight (56,7 kg.) and bantamweight (61,2 kg.).
