Benoit Saint-Denis one entered and another left in the main fight of the UFC Paris. Victim of a real beating Renato Moicano, the Frenchman was completely disfigured and ended up defeated by technical knockout after the medical team found that he was unable to see out of his right eye between the second and third rounds of the fight.

Knocked down by Renato Moicano in the first moments of the duel, Benoit Saint-Denis was the target of punches and elbows from the Brazilian for almost five uninterrupted minutes. The blows opened deep cuts on the Frenchman's eyebrows, who finished the first round with both eyes practically closed.

Despite the damage, Saint-Denis showed a lot of determination and played a balanced second round with Renato Moicano. During the break for the third round, however, the Frenchman was examined and showed that he was unable to see out of his right eye, which resulted in the medical interruption and the Brazilian's consequent victory by technical knockout.
