O UFC 307, which promised great emotions, had its course drastically changed in the first round of the fight between Roman Dolidze e Kevin holland. In a fight that was shaping up to be quite competitive, an unexpected injury to the American tragically interrupted the fight. The fight took place on the main card this Saturday (5), in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
Dolidze imposed his physical game and put Holland in an uncomfortable situation. In a desperate attempt to escape from the inferior position, the American ended up seriously injured. It is suspected that the fighter fractured a rib while trying to free himself from the Georgian's control.
Even though he was in severe pain, Kevin demonstrated incredible resilience and tried to continue the fight. However, the intensity of the pain was unbearable and his corner, concerned for the athlete's health, decided to interrupt the fight.
With the interruption of the fight, Roman Dolidze was declared the winner by technical knockout in the first round. However, the victory was overshadowed by the serious injury suffered by Kevin holland.
