Fighter Antônio Trócoli broke his silence. Accused of assaulting Wesley Santos, the ex-husband of his current wife, also a UFC fighter Mackenzie dern, Malvado, as he is known, sent a press release through his lawyer to defend himself and try to clarify the facts.
Trócoli denied the accusation against him in the statement and stated that there was no physical aggression against the Brazilian surfer based in the United States.
“Antônio did not strike or threaten anyone. The video only captures a brief moment in time and does not capture the full context of what was happening. He approached Santos to defuse an existing situation that had already escalated. This event occurred within the context of a lengthy family court case and a series of attempts by Santos to provoke and antagonize Antônio and his new wife. Despite these events, Antônio is committed to maintaining his professionalism, both inside and outside the cage, and this was no different,” stated Trócoli’s attorney.
