In almost 20 years working professionally, Chris Cyborg is one of the most important and feared names in the history of women's MMA. And this career could become even more victorious this Saturday (19), as she faces Larissa pacheco in the co-main event of PFL: Battle of Giants, in Saudi Arabia, broadcast on SUPER FIGHTS.

Beyond UFC
Since the inclusion of women in the UFC in 2013, Cyborg and Dana White have had a public disagreement that lasted for years. Despite the fighter's success in the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg), the UFC did not create the division and initially maintained only the bantamweight category (up to 61,2 kg), promoting the star as a Ronda Rousey.
The relationship problems with Dana White had an interesting effect on the Brazilian. Always appearing at rival UFC events, she ended up winning titles in all of them. In all, Chris Cyborg was champion of Strikeforce, Invicta and Bellator.
In the UFC
However, the athlete also won the Ultimate belt itself, during her short stint with the organization between 2016 and 2019. At the time, she won Holly holm in the newly inaugurated featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg) and was subsequently knocked out by Amanda nunes.

Despite expectations for a rematch, the second fight never happened. In addition, Cyborg was fired after a new series of disagreements with Dana White. Since then, the bald man has avoided talking about the fighter. With the retirement of Amanda nunes in 2023, the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg) was closed.
Retirement
The Curitiba native's trajectory is unprecedented in the sport. Few athletes have managed to achieve this level of dominance over such a long period of time. In 2025, Cyborg will complete two decades as a professional fighter. To date, she has only been defeated twice in 29 fights.
The athlete has even stated that she will end her career after the end of her contract with the PFL, which lasts only three fights. At 39 years old and with four belts, it is difficult to find new challenges, especially if the fifth title is won this weekend.
