“Let’s just say I’m going to fight strategically, according to how the fight presents itself. In my career, I’ve only gone in thinking about the knockout once and it didn’t work out for me. The other times I’ve had 25-second knockouts, it wasn’t planned. I’m not planning on a 25-second knockout or anything like that. I know I have 25 minutes, so I’m going to set my game plan in those 25 minutes to win the fight,” said the former UFC champion.
While Renan Problem has won 11 of his 13 career victories by knockout and only one by submission, Francis Ngannou He also assured that he was aware of the Brazilian's grappling game.
“This is an MMA fight, so everything will be on display. We prepare for everything, and everything will be on display. I think he might be preparing something as well, because like I said, he’s a black belt in jiu-jitsu and he’s not underestimating my punching power either,” he concluded.
