Cyborg beats Larissa Pacheco to win PFL belt

Cris surprised everyone and, in one of the first contacts, decided to hold Pacheco against the fence. Cyborg cornered her, landed strong blows and grabbed her legs to put her on the ground. Larissa got up, but took a strong high kick that connected with her face and made her feel it. The Curitiba native put the fight against the fence once again, applied another takedown and had to resist a guillotine attempt from her opponent.

The tension continued. The intelligent fight between both fighters also continued. Larissa pressed harder, but Cris played an intense game close to the fence, always trying to take advantage of any gaps in the approach and land a strong blow at close range. She, however, chose not to exchange so many blows and managed to take the fight down again. The former UFC champion took advantage of the opportunities to strike and score. At the end of the second round, Cyborg could be seen with cuts on both eyebrows.

The fighters moved around, but exchanged few blows. Cyborg played a 'hit and run' game. However, with one of the leg kicks, Larissa landed a right bomb that made the fighter from Curitiba fall off balance. The fighter from Pará stayed on top and worked elbows on the former UFC fighter's guard.

Cyborg, in the fourth round, landed a good sequence of blows and took Pacheco back to the fence, but her old rival Kayla harrison defended himself well. In the final stretch of the round, Cris tried to take the fight to the ground.

Just like the fight, which was already electrifying, the fifth round also had some great moments. Cyborg landed a strong blow that knocked Larissa down. The Pará native resisted the attacks, got back on her feet and saw her opponent take her to the ground once again. Once again, Pacheco got back on her feet and the two exchanged intense punches until the end of the fight.

Brute force spoke louder in the desert! Johnny Eblen, once again, imposed his physical game and dominated Fabian Edwards in the rematch valid for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg) in the PFL.

Seeking his third title defense, the American imposed his game from the first seconds, pressing the British fighter against the fence and constantly seeking takedowns. Edwards, in turn, tried to resist the attacks, but found himself dominated by Eblen's physical strength and strategy.

Throughout the five rounds, the champion controlled the pace of the fight, exploiting his advantages in wrestling and grappling. The challenger, in turn, showed difficulty in finding his game and was punished by precise blows from his opponent.

When Edwards managed to break free from the pressure, the Brit tried to land more powerful blows, but Johhny's guard proved to be too strong until the fifth round, when Leon's brother posed more danger. The American, in turn, took advantage of the gaps to land short and precise blows, undermining his rival's resistance.

Johnny Eblen remains undefeated with 16 positive results and none negative. He already Fabian Edwards, now has a record of 13 wins and four losses.
