Conor McGregor suffered a million-dollar loss after the defeat of Renan Problem all with Francis Ngannou in the main fight of the 'PFL Battle of the Giants'. The former UFC champion bet US$500 (around R$2,8 million) on the Brazilian's victory by knockout, but saw his expectations crumble with the French-Cameroonian's resounding victory.
In audio (in English below) on social media, McGregor showed his confidence in Renan's victory, stating that he would make a profit of US$ 1,7 million (around R$ 9,5 million) if he won the bet. However, the reality was very different from the projection made by the Irishman.

However, the former UFC champion's strategy did not have the expected effect. Francis Ngannou demonstrated physical and technical superiority, knocking out Renan Problem in the first round and frustrating the expectations of McGregor and many other MMA fans.
With the result, Ngannou has an 18-fight winning streak and three losing streak in MMA after two losses in boxing. The former UFC champion makes his PFL debut with the belt.
Renan, however, was unable to show his game in the most important fight of his career. The Brazilian now has a record of 13 wins and four losses in his career in professional MMA.
