The rivalry between Chris Weidman e Bruno Blindado gained a new chapter in recent days, with the two fighters exchanging barbs on social media. It all started when the Brazilian, who faces Ismail Naurdiev No. UFC 308 next Saturday (26), in Abu Dhabi, publicly declared 'his hatred' for the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), in reference to the controversial fight between the two in March of this year.
In response to the Brazilian's statements, the former middleweight champion was not intimidated and decided to attack a sensitive point: Blundado's doping history. Weidman recalled that the Brazilian has already been caught twice using banned substances, thus minimizing the accusations of unsportsmanlike behavior during the fight.

“Hate me all you want. You should be worried about yourself because you just failed a steroid drug test for the second time. No one is really talking about you cheating on purpose!” Weidman wrote on social media.
Doping, fingerprints and controversy
The fight between Weidman and Blindado was marked by several controversies. The American was accused of using finger prints in the eyes of the Brazilian on several occasions, which would have influenced the final result of the dispute. After review, the victory of the former champion was changed to a technical decision, but the controversy persisted.
Bruno, in turn, had already been caught using the prohibited substance drostanalone in April of this year. Although the Anti-Doping Commission considered that there was contamination in a supplement, Weidman used the case to question the Brazilian's integrity.
