In a campaign to face Adesanya, the current number 5 in the division, Borralho said, in an interview with 'MMA Junkies', who is already in negotiations with the UFC to hold the fight. The Brazilian explained why the fight makes sense and pointed out that his competitor, Nassourdine Imavov, did not perform well in his last fight.

“I want to fight Izzy. We are in talks with the UFC, but nothing has been confirmed yet. But this is the fight we want. I think it is the fight that makes sense. Adesanya has already faced all the guys in the top 5. He has only faced me and Imavov, but Imavov didn’t have a good fight last time, so I think they are thinking about me. Let’s see what the UFC wants,” Caio explained.
