A fighter stole the show during the press conference of UFC 308, held on the morning of this Thursday (24), in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. And we are not talking about Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, Robert whittaker, Khamzat Shimaev, not even any of the athletes scheduled for the event.

The person responsible for the unusual moment at the press conference was Nabotov Dorobshokh, a 70,3-year-old lightweight (up to 25 kg) from Tajikistan who was watching the press conference, walked up to the microphone as if he were going to ask a question and took the opportunity to ask Dana White for a spot on the UFC roster.

“I am an undefeated elite athlete from Tajikistan, Nabotov Dorobshokh, nine wins and no losses. Dana, I came here to take any fight at the last minute. I hate managers and do everything myself. Please give me a chance, Dana. I want to fight in the UFC. I am ready and I want to fight,” said the fighter.

The young athlete's performance seemed to please Dana White. After asking a series of questions about Nabotov's age, record and weight class, the UFC president invited the Tajik to watch the rest of the press conference from the stage.

“Where were you on Contender Series? Are you ready? Come here,” Dana called.

Now we just have to wait and see if we'll see Nabotov Dorobshokh in action at any UFC event in the coming months or even in the next season of the Contender Series.
