After sharing the octagon with Robert whittaker on two occasions, Israel adesanya knows well the qualities of his former rival, who faces the undefeated Khamzat Shimaev No. UFC 308, scheduled for next Saturday (26). In his analysis for the fight, which could define the future challenger for the UFC middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg), the Nigerian predicted a victory for his former rival over 'Lobo'.
On his YouTube channel, the former middleweight champion cited Whittaker's last performance and predicted a new victory for the Australian. But he stressed that his former rival must endure a difficult start in his fight against Chimaev.

“I just think Rob is a guy you don’t want to mess with. I mean, look at his last fight. So, hopefully people remember who he is now, so I think Rob will do it again, maybe not anytime soon, definitely not anytime soon. I don’t think so, I just think he’ll get it later, but he’s got to weather the storm, man. He’s got to survive. He’s got to survive until he can’t survive anymore and let me see, I’m going with Rob on this one with a late finish, in the fourth round,” said the Nigerian.

Israel adesanya e Robert whittaker They faced each other twice for the UFC middleweight title. In the first fight, the Australian tried to defend his linear belt, but was defeated by the Nigerian by knockout in the second round.
In the second fight, Whittaker entered as the challenger and was defeated by unanimous decision. Since then, he has accumulated three wins and only one loss, while Adesanya has added two more wins but also faced three losses.
