In recent weeks, UFC president Dana White has been unhappy with the organization's ranking system. His anger reached a peak after UFC's defeat Khalil rountree all with Alex Poatán No. UFC 307, in a fight in which Khalil had a good performance but did not advance in the rankings. Dana made resolving the rankings a priority and, to put an end to the problem, contacted a powerful friend.
Interested in implementing artificial intelligence into UFC rankings, the organization's president told TNT Sports that he and his team went so far as to reach out to Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for advice. White believes that the rankings problem will be resolved by next year.

“We literally had meetings this week to work on this. I actually talked to Mark Zuckerberg about AI as well. So I’m going to really fix the rankings. We’re going to make a lot of strong moves here for 2025,” Dana said.

The current method of classification of the Ultimate rankings is based on the opinions of specialized journalists. Dana White sees human participation in the process as an obstacle to a fair and impartial evaluation of the entity's athletes, since the director understands that it is impossible for an individual to remain impartial when judging.
Mark Zuckerberg and the UFC
Dana White's pursuit of Mark Zuckerberg is justified by the billionaire's close relationship with the UFC. A jiu-jitsu practitioner and combat sports enthusiast, Zuckerberg has trained with former UFC champions and served as a cornerman for Alexander Volkanovsky. Additionally, Mark rented out the Apex to watch UFC Vegas 61 with special guests. The Facebook founder also had his name speculated in a possible fight against Elon Musk, a rival in the technology world, who even challenged Zuckerberg. Although the billionaire accepted the confrontation, the clash between them never got off the ground.
