Victor Hugo bothers Farid Basharat, scares him with a kick, but is defeated at UFC 308

It didn't work for the thick mustache. Even though it scared me Farid Basharat, Victor Stiker Hugo ended up losing in the UFC 308 this Saturday (26), in Abu Dhabi. The fighter from Afghanistan maintained his favoritism and achieved victory by unanimous decision of the judges (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

The fight, which was supposed to be for bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg), ended up being for featherweight (up to 65,7 kg), as the Brazilian failed to make weight – he weighed 66 kg.

Signed through the 'Dana White Contender Series', Victor Hugo suffers his first defeat in two UFC fights. Despite the setback, the Brazilian did well and showed volume. He managed to scare Basharat with a spinning kick, but was unable to string together a sequence that would have guaranteed him the victory by knockout. Basharat, in turn, used his experience to impose his pace until the end of the fight.

As for Basharat, who was also signed through the 'Dana White Contender Series',now has four fights in the UFC and four wins.

Brazilians are annoying, but can't get a win

The Brazilian started off eagerly trying to take him down and fell awkwardly to the ground, but quickly recovered and avoided Basharat's blows.
