On the day he turned 40, the Brazilian veteran Rafael dos Anjos faced a tough setback on the preliminary card of UFC 308, held on Saturday afternoon (26). The former lightweight champions suffered an injury to his left knee right at the beginning of the fight against the North American Geoff neal and ended up being defeated, which frustrated his plans to celebrate the date with a victory.
After the fight, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) used Instagram to reassure his fans and thank them for their support. Even though he was shaken by the defeat, the Brazilian assured that he does not intend to end his career and promised that he will return to the octagon soon.
