protagonist of UFC 308, last Saturday (26), Ilia Topuria left Abu Dhabi with the first defense of the featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg), with the label of the first fighter to knock out Max Holloway and also with a bonus of US$50 (approximately R$285) for the performance. The champion, however, thought it was not enough.
Upon learning that he had been one of the winners for his performance in an interview with the UFC shortly after the victory, Ilia Topuria was disappointed with the bonus amount. In a good-humoured tone, the Georgian-Spanish fighter said he will charge Dana White a higher amount for having been the first to knock out Holloway in his career.

“I knocked out Max Holloway and Dana only gave me $50? I hope he gives me a little more,” asked the champion.
At 27, Ilia Topuria became featherweight champion by knocking out the then dominant Alexander Volkanovsky in February of this year and defended the title for the first time against the also former champion Max Holloway last Saturday.
In addition to defending his title, Topuria has been lining his pockets with bonuses. The featherweight champion has earned $50 in each of his last five fights, with four 'Performance of the Night' bonuses and one 'Fight of the Night' bonus.
