UFC Edmonton brings back Brandon Moreno and six Brazilians to the Canadian octagon

Canada will be small with another edition of the UFC, which arrives this Saturday (2) in Edmonton. The main fight of the event brings face to face the Mexican Brandon Moreno and the Iraqi amir albazi, in a duel that could send one of them to the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg). With 14 fights, the card is scheduled to start at 18 pm.

O UFC Edmonton also counts as a co-main fight a generational duel between the promise Erin Blanchfield and the former champion Rose namajunas. In addition, six Brazilians enter the Rogers Place octagon, either for redemption or seeking greater heights. The former flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg.) Brandon Moreno returns to the octagon about seven months after announcing a career break and faces the Iraqi amir albazi. Whoever leaves with their 'arms raised' may have a chance to fight for the category belt against the winner of the fight between Alexandre pantoja e Kai Asakura.

In the women's flyweight (up to 56,7 kg), the third-placed fighter in the ranking Erin Blanchfield faces the former strawweight champion (up to 52,1 kg) Rose namajunas in a five-round fight that should put the winner right behind Manon Fiorot in line for a title fight in the category.

Still on the main card, the UFC Edmonton brings a Brazilian clash between the light heavyweights (up to 93 kg). Caio 'Bigfoot' Machado and Brendson Ribeiro measure strength in the octagon at Rogers Place.
