Tom Aspinall reveals plan to convince Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic winner not to retire

Interim champion and reserve for the November 16 fight, Aspinall aims to unify belts against the winner of the duel

Interim heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), Tom aspinall is confirmed to be in the front row of Madison Square Garden for the UFC 309, on December 16th. Not only because he is the official reserve for the dispute of the linear belt between Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic, as well as being mainly interested in studying possible adversaries closely and persuading one of them.

In a video recently published on his YouTube channel, Tom aspinall stated that he has a plan to convince Jones or Miocic to reconsider a possible retirement and face him in 2025.

“What’s the plan? Show up there, do some media, cause a few scenes here and there and try to get the winner to stay active and fight me,” revealed the Briton.

More than convincing the winner to stay active, Tom aspinall are interested in seeing up close every detail of what Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic are capable of doing.

“I want to see what happens, actually. I’m interested in seeing how both guys do in the fight. It’s interesting for me to see it up close. Especially up close, because it’s different than on TV. I want to get in there and see how these guys do it in real life, you know? How they move? What they do? You see little differences in real life versus on TV, and I’m looking forward to that,” he concluded.
