The first fight between Conceição and Foster, held in July of this year, also ended in a split decision, but with Robson winning. A gold medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 35-year-old Brazilian built a record consisting of 19 wins, nine by knockout, three losses, one draw and one fight without a result.
12 round fight
Robson Conceição started controlling the fight more and was mainly landing body attacks. But little by little, O'Shaquie Foster started to gain ground in the fight and began to bother the Brazilian. The American started to look for gaps in Robson's guard to apply combinations. In the tenth round, Foster applied a cross that shook 'O Brabo'.
In the final two rounds, the fight remained even, with both athletes visibly tired. Robson Conceição and O'Shaquie Foster alternated between moments of attacking with greater volume and clinches. However, after 12 rounds, the American won by split decision and regained the WBC super featherweight belt.
