What many fans imagined was confirmed. Mike Tyson has finally admitted that he mistook Hasbulla Magomedov for a real baby the first time he saw him last year. The video of the encounter where 'Iron Mike' appears kissing and squeezing the Russian celebrity went viral and raised suspicions: did the world boxing legend really think Hasbulla was a baby?

And it's no wonder. Hasbulla is 22 years old and suffers from a rare condition called dwarfism, caused by a deficiency of growth hormone, which makes her features very similar to those of a baby. However, Tyson's misinformation is worth a point, given the size of the Russian celebrity's success and his involvement in the world of fighting.

The meeting between the two happened during the recording of an episode of the podcast 'Hotboxin'. Unaware of the Russian's condition, Iron Mike did everything a normal adult would do with a cute child: he picked him up, hugged him, kissed him and even gave him a 'little bite'. Now, more than a year later, in an interview with the podcast 'Art of Ward', hosted by former world champion Andre Ward, Tyson confirmed fans' suspicions and admitted that it was all just a misunderstanding.

“Yeah, I thought it was a baby. I thought he was a baby, and he’s over there punching me. I was hugging this guy. I don’t know, man, I just… that’s how I am with kids… He’s like 26 years old!” Tyson said, drawing laughter from Ward.

Fight with Jake Paul

At 58, Mike Tyson is looking forward to entering the boxing ring after 19 years without an official fight. On November 15, the former world heavyweight champion will face the YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul. The fight between the two was originally scheduled for July 20, but an ulcer attack suffered by Tyson during a flight caused the fight to be postponed.

Iron Mike's last official fight took place in June 2005, against Kevin McBride. In 2020, the veteran had an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. His opponent, Jake Paul, is a YouTuber who has been pursuing a professional boxing career in recent years. After suffering his first defeat in a split decision against Tommy Fury in 2023, the 'Problem Boy', as he is known, has won four consecutive fights by knockout.
