What was once a rumor could now turn into one of the biggest scandals of his career. Conor McGregor. The Irish UFC star is in the spotlight, not for his performances in the octagon, but for serious allegations of sexual assault. A trial, which promises to be long and complex, is underway in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
The story, which takes place in December 2018 in a Dublin hotel, begins at a costume party at a nightclub. The woman, who knew a cousin of McGregor, was invited by the fighter to a party at his hotel. On the way, according to the report, the Irishman allegedly consumed cocaine and offered it to the two women. When they arrived at the hotel, the rooms were separated and the alleged victim was left alone with McGregor.

It was at this moment that, according to the complaint, the acts of sexual assault occurred. The woman claims that the fighter forced and assaulted her, uttering phrases that referred to the defeat in front of Khabib Nurmagomedov, by completion, months before.
“That’s how I felt in the octagon, I had to hit myself three times, that’s how I felt,” Conor reportedly said, according to his wife’s report.
After the incident, the alleged victim reports having few memories and having been taken home in a taxi. The civil lawsuit, filed in 2021, seeks millions in compensation to cover physical and psychological damages, as well as lost wages. The woman claims to have been unable to work since 2019 due to the trauma.
