The Brazilian sensation Carlos Prates will headline the card of ufc vegas 100 in the fight against Neil Magny. The clash takes place after the cancellation of the clash that was scheduled with Randy Brown on November 16. But the early commitment made the competitor's eyes shine, and he didn't hold back when describing how much he thought the new marriage was better. The 'Nightmare' even said in a press conference held this Wednesday (6), in Las Vegas, that he considered the confrontation with Brown an “easy fight”.

“… It’s better (the fight against Neil). I think Randy Brown it's an easier fight than Neil Magny. It’s a lot more easy money. But you know, the main event, we get the bonus to fight in the main event, more money and also the main events are the biggest shows in the world. I think it’s a better change,” said the middleweight (up to 83,9kg.).

During the interview with journalists, Prates made it clear that he considered the engagement that would take place the following week, at Madison Square Garden, a good opportunity more for the event than for his fight. And he did not hide the fact that the phrase 'main fight' resonated more in his ears.

“I was really excited about the opportunity to fight at Madison Square Garden on the same day as Jon Jones. But he said something that he would fight me on December 7th. I didn't understand why. So, the UFC gave me the fight against Neil Magny in the main event and I was really excited.” commented Carlos.

High flights

Carlos Prates can be considered a sensation with the plot written since his first contact with the UFC universe, in the seventh season of the Contender Series, when he enchanted Dana White and was hired. After only three fights in the organization, he lives with the expectation of having his name in the ranking if he wins on Saturday (9). If it depends on the athlete's will, in less than 25 minutes.

“I asked for the fight because I finish fights really fast. I think that’s the main reason, you know? I always finish the fight, and then I fight in two months or something. I ask to fight someone when they do an interview in the Octagon,” he said.

And the São Paulo native is in a hurry. Counting on victory, he is already aiming to fight in Sydney, in UFC 312.

“I have been training really hard and to be honest I will fight with Neil Magny on Saturday and then I'm looking for a fight in Australia in February,” he concluded.

Brilliant in the UFC

after winning Mitch Ramirez by knockout in his Contender appearance, Carlos Prates received a passport to the largest MMA organization in the world. Since then, there have been three fights. All this year and all on the fast track. The Brazilian knocked out Trevin giles, Charles Radtke and li jingliang, consecutively.

Experience from the other side

Prates' opponent is a veteran. At 37 years old, Neil Magny has more than 40 fights on his record. The American is coming off a loss to MichaelMorales at UFC on ESPN 62 after winning Mike Malott, by knockout, in UFC 297.
