He who says what he wants, hears what he doesn't want. That's exactly what happened to the Russian light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) Magomed Ankalayev by provoking the heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) Jon Jones in a comment on a social network.
Last Saturday (9), Magomed Ankalayev commented on a publication from the 'MMA Orbit' page speaking on Jones' interest in facing light heavyweight champion Alex Poatan in the future. With the Brazilian in his sights, the Russian accused the heavyweight champion of fearing a possible duel with the interim champion Tom aspinall.

“Looks like someone is scared of big Tom,” he commented.
Ankalaev's provocation did not go unnoticed by Jon Jones. Also through the social network 'X', the heavyweight champion responded and left some advice to the Russian.
“Magomed, envy won’t give you legendary status, my friend. Train harder, hate less. Do you really want to insult me? Break some of my records first. Let’s get started,” the champion posted.
Jon Jones returns to the octagon this Saturday (16), in the main fight of UFC 309, when he defends the heavyweight belt for the first time in a duel against the former champion Stipe Miocic. The event takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States, and has as its co-main fight the rematch between Charles of the Bronx e Michael chandler.
