Recently, Dominick Cruz stated that he wants fight once more before ending his career. Although the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,3 kg) and now UFC commentator has planned to step into the octagon only next year, he remains active 'battling' on social media.
UFC commentator Jon Anik suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that a rematch with Henry Cejudo, four years after their first meeting, would be an interesting way to say goodbye to Cruz. The post prompted a response from Ali Abdelaziz, a 'triple C' businessman, who pointed to Dominick as 'easy money' for his client.

In an immediate response, Cruz hit back at Abdelaziz, criticizing him for badmouthing other fighters while not facing the consequences, since he continues to get paid regardless of whether his clients win or lose.
“It’s easy money for you, since you get paid a percentage of your fighter’s income no matter the outcome, while you talk nonsense you can’t back up. You have nothing at stake, and that makes you weak,” he wrote. Dominick Cruz.
The argument continued, with Cruz expanding his attacks on Cejudo. The former champion claimed that fighting him would be like “killing two birds with one stone.”
“Look at your tough guy words on X. Now you’re talking about paying someone the percentage you usually steal from them, just to fight me, because you yourself can’t back up the promises you make with your big mouth. That’s exactly my point. That’s why you’re weak. Henry is as small in stature as you are in mind. You two deserve each other. Killing you both in one fell swoop sounds like a good day’s humanitarian work,” Cruz concluded.
Dominick Cruz e Henry Cejudo faced each other in May 2020, when the 'triple C' won by knockout in the second round. Since then, Cruz has won two more victories until his latest setback against Marlon Vera in 2022.
