It seems that the fight of Mike Tyson against Jake Paul has opened the door to a new chapter. One of the most famous rivals of the living boxing legend, Evander Holyfield, was very excited to see his old opponent return to the ring at the age of 58. He wasted no time and used social media to call for a trilogy fight against 'Iron Mike'.
The two boxers faced each other twice as professionals, with both victories for Holyfield. In 1996, 'The Real Deal' put an end to Tyson's great comeback streak after prison, snapping 'Iron Mike's' four-fight winning streak and stripping him of the WBA heavyweight title. They would meet again seven months later when Tyson bit and ripped a piece of Holyfield's ear, being disqualified.

Holyfield watched his former rival's fight against Paul in person at AT&T Stadium in Texas (USA). After seeing how much money and commotion the fight Tyson vs Jake Paul created it, he wants to give 'Iron Mike' one more chance to beat him in the ring. On his Instagram profile, Holyfield posted a photo of the two in their prime called 'The Trilogy', along with a video of Tyson after the fight with Paul saying he was not ready to retire.
“The fans want this,” Holyfield said, adding the hashtag #unfinishedbusiness. (see below)

In 2021, Holyfield experienced something similar to Paul vs. Tyson when he faced Vitor belfort in boxing. At 59 years old, the veteran had no chance against the MMA fighter, who was in his 40s. On that occasion, Belfort was not as 'kind' as Paul was with Tyson.
Tyson gives 'cute' response
Without the age barrier, a Tyson vs. Holyfield match would be more evenly matched. 'The Real Deal' is now 62 years old, three years older than Mike.
But if it depends on Tyson, unfortunately the trilogy will remain in the imagination of fans. In its calmer version, as he even already mentioned, Tyson seems to have forgotten the days of rivalry with Holyfield and responded right there in the publication.
“I love you, brother. But the trilogy is our friendship,” Tyson wrote.
The defeat for Jake Paul It was the seventh in Iron Mike's professional career, the first on points. The living boxing legend has 50 victories, 44 of them by knockout.
