Tom aspinall has shared the spotlight in recent days along with Jon Jones. The interim heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg.) watched from the box seats 'Bones' brutalize Stipe Miocic No. UFC 309 last Saturday (16), at Madison Square Garden, in New York. His presence at the event excited fans around the world desperate for the British fighter to have the chance to step into the octagon, in case something happened to one of the two protagonists of the main fight of the night.

But Tom aspinall had a small glimmer of hope after an MMA legend pranked him. Glover Teixeira tried to trick the Briton by saying that Jones had been injured and that he would have to fight Miocic. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Aspinall, who was sitting backstage, was approached by the Brazilian icon, who insisted.
“Tom, they just called me. Jon Jones tripped on the bus, so don't drink, okay?” Glover joked. (see video below)
Aspinall, who was sitting at a table, showed professionalism by holding up a small bottle and replying 'I'm on water'.
Ultimately, Aspinall realized that it was all just a prank by Glover. But if it were true, there is no doubt that he would have jumped out of his chair and run to the octagon right then and there.
