After eight days of trial, the civil case against McGregor reached its final arguments on Tuesday (19). The UFC star is accused of raping and assaulting Nikita Ni Lamhaim after a party in December 2018. Gregor is responding to the case along with a friend who is also a defendant, James Lawrence, in the High Court of Dublin, Ireland.

The trial is due to resume on Wednesday (20), entering the ninth day of proceedings. The judge in charge estimated around two weeks for the proceedings.
Conor McGregor denies allegations
According to court reports, McGregor testified over two days. Always denied guilt. On his first testimonial, he said emotionally that the allegations were 'lies'. On the second day, the fighter was questioned by the victim's lawyer, John Gordon. The defendant admitted to using cocaine during the hours surrounding the alleged crime, but reaffirmed that the sex with the woman was consensual and unplanned, despite having booked a hotel room.
Closing arguments
Attorneys spoke to the jury on the final day of arguments. the lawyer of Conor McGregor, Remy Farrell, was the first and asked the jury to make a decision based on the evidence, not their personal opinions of the defendant. Farrell also cited Nikita's spotty memory of the events over and over again.
The plaintiff's attorney, John Gordon, reiterated the version of your client that she was raped. He brought testimonies from medical professionals. A paramedic said that the scene in the ambulance with the alleged victim was one of the worst she had ever seen.
