After losing second place in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings to Jon Jones, Alex Poatán went to Social media coordinator complain. And the reason wasn't even his step down. In defense of the winner over Stipe Miocic, the now number three on the list expressed the desire for at least 'Bones' to be the leader and Islam makhachev the second placed.

Poatan posted a photo with the 'top 3' of the overall ranking and an erasure over the positions of Jones and Makhachev. The caption reads, in English, 'Just this change would make me happy'.

Controversial ranking

Jon Jones defended the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg) last Saturday (16), at UFC 309. With the confirmation, it was expected that finally the lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg.), Islam makhachev, would be dethroned from the first place overall that he has held since February of last year. But the Russian's 14 consecutive victories in the organization spoke louder to the voting journalists and the champion was maintained.

The leadership is already being pursued by the light heavyweight (up to 93kg.) Alex Poatán for a long time, especially with this year's victories. Maintaining the current leader after the last event was not only criticized by fighters and enthusiasts. The boss himself Dana White disapproved the ranking calling those responsible 'clowns'.
