Former UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) and coach of Alex Poatán, Glover Teixeira added fuel to the fire of the possible superfight between the Brazilian and Jon Jones. In an interview with 'UFC Fight Pass', the miner was confident in a positive outcome for his pupil in a possible confrontation.

"The Jon Jones wants and Alex wants. Now, the rest, I don't know. It's a fight, a mega fight. It's going to be the fight of 2025! He's one of the best in the world, one of the best of all time, to tell the truth, between one and two. I believe that both of them want this fight and Dana White is kind of 'like that', but I believe that he will make it happen", said Glover.

“I think it’s a good fight for Poatan. The thing is that he’s very intelligent, precise, and puts pressure on. He’ll try to grab and take him down, but that will only happen in the first few rounds. In the first, maybe. But the rest will be about striking,” he concluded.

Despite the desire of the fighters and most of the fans, Dana White has not yet confirmed that the superfight will take place. The UFC president has expressed interest in unifying the heavyweight belts. The aim, according to him, is to put Jon Jones to face Tom aspinall.
