A first face-off between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo, protagonists of UFC Macau, before the event on Saturday (23) drew attention mainly due to the Russian's whisper in the Brazilian's ear, who seemed to be enjoying the situation, but left fans curious about what was said.

In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', Petr yan ended the mystery and told what he said to Deiveson Figueiredo.

“I just told him it’s going to be a very tough, difficult night for him, one he’s never faced before. I’m not bluffing, I’m not playing mind games. I honestly believe he’s never faced anything like what he’s going to face this Saturday. He’s never had the challenges I’ve had,” said the former champion.

The fact of Deiveson Figueiredo being undefeated with three wins in three fights since leaving the flyweight (up to 56,7 kg) for the bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) does not seem to impress Petr yan. The Russian believes that the Brazilian did no more than his duty against 'average opponents'.

“I mean, he moved up a weight class, which probably means he had trouble cutting weight. That means he cuts a lot of weight and is too heavy anyway. Speaking of his opponents, Rob font, cody garbrandt, Marlon Vera, I don't think they are high level. They are mid-level, average fighters. He has never faced someone at a level as high as mine”, he concluded.
