A boxing fight between the youtuber Jake Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson continues to reverberate. Even more than a week later, the debate over the match continues. It has reached the point where it is being considered a fake, staged fight. At least in the opinion of former world and Olympic boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya.

Without concrete evidence, the American, who is also a fight promoter, suggested that Paul won a scripted fight. This scenario would be illegal since the meeting of generations was endorsed as a professional fight.

“Everybody is talking about how staged that fight was and I believe it was scripted. I believe Tyson was certainly restrained. Look, I’m a fighter and I can see that. That goes on their record and it was sanctioned. So Jake Paul paid to have the W on his record. For what? For his own personal satisfaction?” De La Hoya said on his Instagram account.

“I keep telling you: If you want to be a real fighter, like you want to be, what are you doing? Like, who’s next? Joe Biden?” the former boxer quipped in another part of the video.
