Less than two weeks after knockout Stipe Miocic and defend the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg) for the first time, Jon Jones revealed that he is already in negotiations with the UFC regarding his next fight in the organization, although the question surrounding his opponent has not been answered.

In an interview with YouTuber 'The Schmo', one of the first given by Jon Jones After defending his belt, the heavyweight champion stated that he has already returned to training and is in talks with the UFC for a possible return to the octagon next year.

“Right now, the UFC and I are in talks to see what happens next. I’m back in the gym, training and feeling great. My team is supporting me and we’ll be ready for any opportunity that comes our way. There is a fee in mind, but I’m not going to discuss it publicly. We’ll have to wait and see. It’s more than likely that I’ll fight in 2025,” Bones said.

Two names appear as candidates for the position of next opponent of Jon Jones. After knocking out Stipe Miocic, the American made it clear that he prefers a fight against the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) Alex Poatán. Dana White and the UFC's idea, however, is for 'Bones' to follow logic and unify the belts against the interim heavyweight champion Tom aspinall.
