The text highlighted that match-fixing in professional boxing is a crime. The fight between Jake Paul e Mike Tyson was approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The statement said that "promoters must tolerate nonsensical comments, jokes and opinions," but that the suggested conspiracies are an "insult" to the work done and the sport.

“Following the widespread circulation of incorrect and unfounded allegations that undermine the integrity of the Paul vs. Tyson event, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) would like to clarify the contractual agreements and nature of the fight.

CONTINUES AFTER ADVERTISING:

Fixing a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the United States of America. Paul vs. Tyson was a professional fight sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Both fighters, in good faith, performed to the best of their ability with the goal of winning the fight. There were absolutely no restrictions—contractual or otherwise—on either fighter. Each boxer was able to use his or her full arsenal to win the fight. Any agreement to the contrary would violate the TDLR rules of boxing.

PUBLICITY:

Dirty talk and speculation are common in sports, and athletes and promoters have to tolerate meaningless comments, jokes, and opinions. But to suggest anything other than a full-on effort from these fighters is not only naive, but an insult to the work they put into their art and to the sport itself.

It’s even more illogical and insane that MVP, in the midst of a promising long-term partnership with the world’s biggest streamer — an organization that made its first foray into live professional sports with Paul vs. Tyson — would even consider such a perverse violation of the competition’s rules.

PUBLICITY:

'This is not the first time that Jake Paul “Jake faces unfounded skepticism or outright disbelief as a professional athlete, and frankly, the claim that his fight must have been rigged is just the latest backhanded compliment to be paid to him,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “From day one in this sport, people have doubted his abilities — unable to reconcile how someone with his experience has accomplished so much in such a short amount of time. Not only has Jake proven himself time and time again, but he has also continually set historic records that speak for themselves. This event, which broke attendance and viewership milestones for a professional sporting event, is yet another example of his ability to deliver on the biggest stage. As long as Jake continues to exceed expectations, there will always be those who will try to discredit his accomplishments. We embrace doubt — it only fuels Jake to work harder and achieve greater success.”
