One of the main allies of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam makhachev did not miss the opportunity to attack Conor McGregor after conviction of the Irish for sexual assault. In a post on social media, the Russian, known for his loyalty to McGregor's former rival, celebrated the court ruling and launched harsh criticism against the former champion. The UFC star was ordered to pay €250 (around R$1,5 million) in compensation to the victim.
“It was only a matter of time before this filthy bastard was exposed. Alcoholic, drug addict and rapist. Many more facts will come to light, trust me,” Islam wrote on his official ‘X’ account.

Conor's conviction for sexual assault came last Friday (22), after a civil trial in Ireland. A jury found the fighter guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a luxury hotel in Dublin in 2018.
McGregor has denied the accusations and has already announced that he will appeal the decision. The fighter argues that the encounter with the woman was consensual and that the evidence presented by the prosecution is insufficient.

The story, which takes place in December 2018 in a Dublin hotel, begins at a costume party at a nightclub. The woman, who knew a cousin of McGregor, was invited by the fighter to a party at his hotel. On the way, according to the report, the Irishman allegedly consumed cocaine and offered it to the two women. When they arrived at the hotel, the rooms were separated and the alleged victim was left alone with McGregor.
It was at this moment that, according to the complaint, the acts of sexual assault occurred. The woman claims that the fighter forced and assaulted her, uttering phrases that referred to the defeat in front of Khabib Nurmagomedov, finally, months before. After the incident, she reports having few memories and having been taken home in a taxi.
