An eventual duel between Jon Jones e Tom aspinall divides many opinions among fans and experts regarding who would be the favorite to come out on top. Coach of the legend Georges St-Pierre and leader of the 'Tristar Gym', Firas Zahabi not only believes that the British would defeat 'Bones', but went further and named the current interim champion as the greatest heavyweight in history.
In a video posted on his official YouTube channel, Zahabi said he did not believe that Jon Jones risk your legacy with someone as dangerous as the interim heavyweight champion, opting for a more approachable opponent in Alex Poatán.

“I don't think Jon Jones go face it Tom aspinall. There was a time when I thought he would fight and could win, but I've watched a few of Aspinall's fights and I think this is the guy who can win. Jon Jones. It would be a dangerous heavyweight fight. Jon is not crazy, he will go after Pereira, but I don't think the UFC will give Pereira to him. He has to face Tom or nothing. I don't think the UFC wants him to beat Pereira. He would crush Pereira,” the coach said.
In Zahabi's opinion, no fighter would be able to last two rounds against the Briton, who, for the Canadian, can already be seen as the greatest heavyweight of all time.
“I don’t think anyone can last two rounds with Aspinall, no one in the world. Many say that Miocic is the greatest heavyweight in history. No, he’s not. He was, but Ngannou dethroned him and proved himself to be the greatest heavyweight in history. Now, in my mind, unofficially of course, Tom aspinall is the greatest heavyweight of all time,” he concluded.
